Walk into most clinics or dental practices in Dubai and somewhere near reception — or in a doctor's own drawer — there's a stamp. Medical paperwork moves through a lot of hands: sick leave certificates, referral letters, insurance forms, prescription pads, internal records. A stamp keeps that paperwork consistent and quick to process, without a doctor having to write out their full name and licence details by hand on every document.

What typically goes on a doctor or clinic stamp

This varies by practice and by what your employer, the relevant health authority, or your insurance partners expect to see, so it's worth confirming exact wording requirements with your own compliance or admin team before finalizing anything. In general, the stamps we're asked to make for doctors and clinics tend to include some combination of: doctor's full name, qualification or specialty, licence or registration number, and the clinic name. Reception and admin stamps are usually simpler — clinic name, and sometimes a purpose field like "Received" or a date stamp.

Self-inking for a busy front desk

For a stamp that's going to be used many times a day — sign-offs, incoming mail, patient files — a self-inking design is usually the more practical choice over a traditional stamp-and-pad, simply because it holds up better to repeated use without smudging or drying out. Where a traditional or embossed stamp still makes sense
